Lack of sleep - Rich and Wealthy vs. Poor
I’ve read recently a short study (wish I remembered where it was) about the relation between lack of sleep, or insomnia, and the rich, vs. the poor.
Although common sense would seem to point out that the poor are mostly suffering from lack of sleep, due to their financial and living problems, the study showed that the situation might be just opposite to this.
It seems that the wealthier a person is, the better chances to become an insomniac.
Apparently it is remarkable how little complains one hears in hospitals from the poorer classes.
One of the results the study came to was that one reason for this poor vs rich shift is that poor are less haunted by such problems as overfeeding, inertia, idleness, self-absorption and ennui.
