My niece is arranging her wedding for the end of June. I have decided to give a wedding shower for her at our house. Her all-time flowers have always been daisies and carnations. I went to the area farmers market the day before the shower and obtained large bunches of daisies and carnations to make flower arrangements for the shower. I had gone to the floral shop the week before to buy floral arrangements, but after discovering the prices I decided to make them myself. The florist is the person that suggested that I go to the farmers market to purchase the flowers, especially since they were both in season. I thought it may be like a flea market as well, & I could grab some wholesale wedding favors. By purchasing the flowers that were in season I was able to save even more.

When I got back to my house from the farmers market I cut the daisies & carnations to different lengths and made floral arrangements in three crystal vases to place around the home. I still had an adequate amount of flowers left to do a small arrangement for the bathrooms. It is always an appreciated touch to place freshly cut flowers in the bathroom when you're entertaining. When you do your own flowers you can utilize your own vases, which adds to the special touch.

The morning of the wedding shower I checked the flower arrangements to see if they required more water. They were still looking fresh & the bright colors of the flowers made the rooms feels warm & homey.

My niece appreciated the lovely & wonderful presents that the guests had brought. And she hadn't even seen the wholesale wedding favors I bought yet! We visited & gave pieces of advice to the bride about having a long and glad marriage. I had framed some pictures that I had gotten from the mom of the bride and mom of the groom. I had photos of the 2 of them growing up as well as photos of the two of them on diverse vacations that they have taken together. My niece was so satisfied with these that she decided to use them at the wedding day reception also, together with the wholesale wedding favors. We also ate a light lunch & had cake that I had also adorned with freshly cut flowers.
