		<description>This may be too old for you too read John.   But, I was always taught that meditating close to night time, was running risky of keeping you awake.  Especially if any of that energy rises to the head. I would make sure the meditation is very light, and kept in the lower stomach. With a lot of sleep problems, the energy and thoughts rises to the head.  Hope that helps.</description>

		<description>I love valerian for sleeping. I don't need sleep aids but when I do that relaxes me quite nicely and I fall asleep quickly. Plus using my imagination. Pretend you are floating in the middle of a warm pool of water looking at the starry sky. Soooo relaxing!</description>

If I stop meditating for a month or so my sleep returns to normal, but I begin to lose the benefit of meditation. There are plenty of people talking of meditation as a cure for insomnia, but not what to do if it is the cause! Any thoughts?</description>
